El X Seminario de Traducción Jurídica e Institucional para Organizaciones Internacionales se celebrará en la Facultad de Traducción y Documentación de Salamanca del 23 al 27 de febrero de 2026.
Desde 2008, el Departamento de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad de Salamanca ha organizado este Seminario de Traducción Jurídica e Institucional para Organizaciones Internacionales, en colaboración con el Universities Contact Group (UCG) del IAMLADP y con la Fundación Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste (FAEIY).
Tema 2026: «Nuevos formatos y canales en la comunicación institucional especializada multilingüe»
Durante cinco intensos días tiene lugar una particular alquimia de saberes entre docentes e investigadores, traductores e intérpretes de numerosas Organizaciones Internacionales y los asistentes, entre los que se encuentran alumnos del Grado en Traducción e Interpretación, así como de los Dobles Grados en Traducción e Interpretación y Derecho, y Administración y Dirección de Empresas y Traducción e Interpretación, del Máster en Traducción y Mediación Intercultural y del programa de doctorado en Ciencias Sociales.
Por las mañanas, el Seminario incluye un amplio programa de conferencias y mesas redondas a cargo de expertos académicos, investigadores y profesionales de la traducción y del derecho. Por las tardes, los traductores e intérpretes de las Organizaciones Internacionales (OO.II.) imparten talleres especializados basados en su propia experiencia, que resultan de enorme interés para sus propios compañeros de otras organizaciones, para los docentes de la universidad y para los alumnos asistentes, que se benefician de este valioso intercambio académico y profesional. Este formato, desarrollado por nuestra Universidad y llamado «modelo Salamanca» no es un congreso científico ni un curso de adquisición de conocimientos al uso.

Since 2008, the Department of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Salamanca has been regularly organising this Seminar on Legal and Institutional Translation for International Organisations in collaboration with the IAMLADP’s Universities Contact Group (UCG) and the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation (FAEIY).
Topic 2026: “New Formats and Channels in Specialized Multilingual Institutional Communication”
For five eventful days, a fascinating and unique exchange of knowledge, skills and expertise takes place thanks to the collaborative efforts of translation trainers and researchers, translators and interpreters from various international organisations and attendees, amongst them the students of the BA on Translation and Interpreting and the Double Degrees on Translation and Interpreting and Law and on Translation and Interpreting and Business Administration and Management, students of the MA program on Translation and Intercultural Mediation and PhD candidates enrolled in the PhD Program in Social Sciences.
In the morning sessions of the Seminar, academics, researchers and practitioners from the fields of translation and law take part in an ample program of keynote addresses, lectures and round tables. In the evenings, translators and interpreters from the International Organisations (II.OO.) deliver specialized workshops based on their own first-hand experience. These workshops tend to be extremely interesting for the fellow members of other international organisations, and also for Law and Translation trainers and researchers, and for all other attendees, who benefit from this fruitful professional and academic exchange. This training format developed by our University, which has come to be known as the “Salamanca model”, is neither a conventional scientific conference nor a standard knowledge acquisition course.
